Innovation, Education and Culture Meeting

The event aims to enable residents of Thessaloniki and productive organizations in Northern Greece to become acquainted with the innovative research activities that give a new perspective on the economy and the lives of our citizens, the educational social and cultural interventions in the city, the numerous activities for the public in the city, and the new structures aimed at upgrading Alumni Foundation and the overall institution.

Through the 64 participations relating to applied studies products, part of the innovative research activity of researchers and groups of AUTH which have potential it is displayed. Besides displaying the cultural, social and general new activities of the institution, AUTH aims to approach the city and to promote the collaboration with other institutions in the region. As part of the exhibition  speeches / presentations of research achievements will be held.

The main areas of the innovative products that will be presented are among others: New Materials – Advanced Technologies, Medicine – Veterinary, Archaeology – Culture, Rural Development – Food Technology, Information Technology – Telecommunication, Environment – Energy, Education – Language Proficiency and Students Corner.
Moreover, in the section “Experiments with everyday materials’ children and adults will have the opportunity to engage in fun and educational activities that connect physics to everyday life.

Finally, a meeting concerning “HORIZON 2020: The Programme for Research and Innovation of the European Commission for the period 2014-2020” will be held on 19/01.
