It was Lonely Planet that firstly included Thessaloniki in the Top 10 Ultimate party cities. Now, National Geographic suggests Thessaloniki as one of the new year’s 20 must-see places.
Vibrant and full of music this weekend is starting on Friday with six live concerts in Thessaloniki. However, the “real” weekend has also plenty of things to do and with no need to waste a lot of money.
The Open House event started in London in 1992 (openhouseworldwide.org), gaining in the past 20 years a lot of appreciation and support. In 2012 it’s time for Thessaloniki to join the Open House family and to organize an event that will celebrate the city’s architecture and design.
