Jazzsteppa are the pioneers of the dubstep scene in mixing digital production with acoustic instruments. They have toured around the world participating in some of the biggest festivals, they have worked with many producers and musicians from Rusko and Foreign Beggars to entire brass bands while their releases increasingly extend the limits of dubstep, to drum ‘n’ bass and free jazz.

Already a phenomenon of the bass scene, the Frenchman Mika Abadie or otherwise Son of Kick as he is widely known, after the success enjoyed by “Playing the Villain” (+7,000,000 youtube hits). His releases follow each other with a crazy rythm to all major companies in the area, while his collaborations alternate between underground and mainstream whether with Flux Pavillion or Tokyo Police Club. In Greece he will appear live with the drummer of Death In Vegas, Dave Neale.

Unur –  Patrick Scott as he is known to his friends-,  is a resident of Chicago the motherland of industrial music and he began actively involved with music and started composing in summer 2010. The electric guitar, a drum kit, a small collection of synths and effects and his voice is all he needs to create minimal, post-punk, industrial songs about everyday life, nostalgia and the future.

Baby Woodrose is a rock band formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2001. They take their name from the Argyreia nervosa, a plant commonly known as Hawaiian baby woodrose, which can be used for hallucinogenic effects. Initially Baby Woodrose was a personal project by Lorenzo Woodrose, who recorded their first album Blows Your Mind by himself. Later on he decided to take the project to the next level and contacted ‘The Moody Guru’ (Riky Woodrose, bassist) and ‘Fuzz Daddy’ (Rocco Woodrose, drummer).

Baby Woodrose will perform for first time in Thessaloniki, while the live will be opened by two local bands, “Roundlights” and “45 Rats”.

Universal Trilogy is a Greek indie electronic band formed in Thessaloniki in 1994. They are one of the pioneering groups of the local electronic music scene with English lyrics. After of 18 years music career have released 6 full albums, which were all well received from the independent local press and scene. Also they are active part of Thessaloniki’s alternative music scene movement and all of those years have succeeded to adapt and enrich their compositions with new sounds.

In 2012 they released  their new album with the title “Pop Crisis”, at the moment receiving exceptional critics from the press and music lovers. November is the month that Universal Trilogy will present it to their fans with a tour named “Pop Crisis Tour”. There was absolutely no way that Thessaloniki won’t be included in this tour.

Baby Guru were created by 3 childhood friends, in late 2009, in a basement. Tired of the typical form of a rock band, they emphasize on spontaneity and they are cultivating an obsession with the legacy of Krautrock, psychedelic experimental music and Africa rythms. They remain hopelessly charmed by the analog warmth of the first electronica music and the power of garage punk, while demonstrating a view of the rhythm and lyrics that balances between the contemplation and Dadaism.

One year and a half has already passed since the release of their debut album and Baby Guru return with a new album, which is titled “Pieces”.  This period was  full of live performance and reviews mentioning them as the best new Greek band. During this time, the trio of Prins Obi, King Elephant and Sir Kosmiche never stopped creating, experimenting and playing music.

A great artist, a true lady and simultaneously one of the most soulful voices across Europe. The voice of Amparanoia, returns to Block33, the venue which embraced her during its last visit to Thessaloniki.

After 12 years with Amparanoia, 7 albums and more than 1000 concerts all over the world, Amparo decided to pursue his solo career. Her first album was titled “Tucson-Habana” and the collaboration with Joey Burns and John Convertino of Calexico, is easily noticed. In our country, her voice accompanied one of the most beautiful songs of Locomondo, the “Ay Ay Ay” of their best album “Me Wanna Dance”.

Her music is influenced by afro-cubano tradition, flamenco, and the melodies of the East, creating a charming blend of rhythm and sounds. In this magnificent celebration of Iberian culture Radio España and Studio Flamenco Pellizco from Thessaloniki will assist with their presence.

The Annual Panhellenic Congress on Thoracic Diseases has been established as the most important scientific event held in Greece for pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons and paediatric pulmonologists. Since its establishment in 1984,  it has provided a unique forum for presentation of scientific research, an opportunity to review the latest knowledge on the whole spectrum of lung diseases, and a venue for informal sharing of information and research experience with Greek and foreign expert colleagues.

The Dub Pistols are a UK dub and big beat band founded in 1996 by Barry Ashworth, legends in Britain urban scene and beloved of hip hop fans because of his exceptional vocal rap of T.K. Lawrence. The discography debut conducted by Concrete Records, important was the release of LP “Six Million Ways To Live” by Distinktive Records, while the most recent “Rum n Coke” released in 2009.

The Dub Pistols have done very successful mash-ups for Moby, the Limp Bizkit, Ian Brown, the Korn and Bono among others. Also signed the music for many films including Blade 2, Bad Company and Mystery Men. Barry Ashworth also writes music for many games of Playstation and has done remixes for artists like Atomic Hooligan, DJ Love, Myagi etc.
