REWORKS festival, the sun-filled music gathering which takes place in Thessaloniki, Greece every September, is happy to announce the first wave of acts for its 11th edition. Despite the economic crisis, which still after 5 years still remains in Greece, Reworks expands once again and for second year it will last for 3 days. An eclectic mix of 70 acts will perform on 12 music rooms from the 18th -20th of September. On the first wave of acts announcement, Reworks this year is excited to welcome back a series of acts who have graced with their presence the festival on its first 10 years. Tale of Us, Dubfire, Pan-Pot, Art Department, Ellen Allien, Carlo Lio (Rawthentic), will all return to Thessaloniki alongside an exciting line up of acts which will be presented for the first time in Thessaloniki with acts such as Mano Le Tough, Nastia, Daniel Miller, Maher Daniel and Cleveland. The Hellenic scene will also be presented vastly with Ison/Actor One, Larry Gus, Mr.Statik, Giganta, Dreamachinery to be a small but indicative taste on what is going to follow.

A symbol on the city’s modern Culture

Bringing together contemporary culture and forward thinking music in an urban environment, Reworks is considered a touchstone for the music and creative arts in Greece and a showcase for new trends and emerging talent. It is a national meeting point for the musical youth of the country, and celebrated for its good value and quality programming, but is less familiar with audiences in the UK and beyond – Since it is listed among the best festivals in the world every September by the influential online independent music magazine Resident Advisor for the past 8 years in a row. It has also been voted as the 3rd best event in the Balkans on SEEME awards.

Based around the close connection and ties between music, art and e-culture, Reworks presents new musical and artistic paths and directions in one of the most historic parts of the Byzantine city of Thessaloniki. Each of its previous editions has been a landmark in the evolution of forward thinking entertainment, featuring influential musicians, creative artists of both local and international origin and a great party atmosphere augmented by the amazing weather that Greece still experiences at the end of the summer.

We define our Future

With over 800 artists experiencing the festival to date, Reworks resists and tries to stand still on a difficult cultural environment. Today having the economic crisis being a social crisis the need to step up is more necessary than ever before. Hence the festival encourages its audience to “Define their Future” by resisting on the current difficulties and to follow their dreams and ambitions trough musical and artistic creativity.

A meeting point throughout Greece and beyond

For the past few years Reworks gathers friends of music from all around the country and throughout Europe and welcomes them in Thessaloniki giving them 3 days of joy and happiness.

12 stages in total will present a broad spectrum of electronic music. House & techno, Freestyle, Neo-Classical, electronica which will be presented on the 3 outdoor and 9 indoor rooms/stages.

Thessaloniki is naturally a great holiday destination with summer temperatures during September, and the city surrounded by exceptional landscapes and beaches. Reworks is therefore an attractive combination of entertainment, art and holiday.
